JOIN US AND HELP KINGSBRIDGE SHAPE THE NEXT GENERATION OF TEACHERS
As part of the ITT 24-25 reforms, Kingsbridge SCITT are currently recruiting high-quality mentors to our partnership.
ROLE OF MENTOR |
REQUIREMENTS |
- Support trainee teachers to translate Kingsbridge training curriculum into classroom practice
- Be an advocate for evidence-informed practice and research
Model and exemplify high-quality practice aligned with the Kingsbridge curriculum
- Guide the trainee teacher to deconstruct the practice of experts
Support trainee teacher's progress by providing actionable feedback using an instructional coaching model
- Communicate with Kingsbridge Lead Mentors as part of assessment and QA systems and processes
- Provide day to day support and challenge for trainee teachers in the school setting to promote a culture of continuous development

- Hold Qualified Teacher Status
- Have expertise and experience as an evidence-informed teacher in your subject and/or phase
- Have an understanding of the ITT curriculum and the evidence underpinning it
- Have the support from your school/headteacher to engage fully in the 20 hours training requirement in 24-25
- Have the capacity to offer ongoing support to the trainee teacher in line with the Kingsbridge mentoring requirements.
